PEC for company directors: obligation also for companies incorporated before January 1, 2025.
Starting from January 1, 2025, company directors will be required to have a personal Certified Email Address (PEC). This obligation, established by the 2025 Budget Law (Law 207/2024), applies to all companies registered in the Business Register, including those already existing.
The Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy has set June 30, 2025 as the reasonable deadline for communicating the PEC to the Business Register, in the event of new appointments, renewals, or liquidations. Each director must have a personal address, distinct from that of the company, to ensure greater clarity in official communications.
Companies that do not comply by the deadline risk fines of up to €1,032 and possible difficulties in business procedures. To avoid problems, it is necessary to activate a personal PEC and communicate it to the Business Register within the established deadline.
